SOLD. A very nice Enfield No4 rifle manufactured by Longbranch of Canada and dated 1950. Chambered in .303, the No4 rifle was the mainstay of allied forces during WWII and was still used extensively into the 1950's and early 1960's. This is a very unusual example being from the last year of production rifles from Longbranch. Production of the No4 at Longbranch originally ceased in 1945 with it starting again with a much smaller production run from 1949 to 1950. These examples are considered to be of much better quality than the wartime pieces. It is is in very good used condition with only limited wear to the original parkerised metalwork finish. It has been fitted with what looks to be replacement woodwork at some point and this is in lovely condition. Complete with webbing sling and 5 inert .303 rounds. EU deactivation with a moving bolt, moving trigger (under spring pressure), working safety and removable magazine but without the ability dry fire or field strip. See our video showing an example of this type of deactivated firearm here.
