SOLD. The K98, based on the on the Gew 98 used during WWI, was the standard Nazi issue weapon of WWII. This is a WWII example has had its manufacturer code and date stamp removed post-war. It has some Nazi markings still present; on the receiver, rear sight and on numerous small parts. There is also a '38' stamped on the barrel which we believe is a date code, i.e. 1938. German markings were often removed on rifles that remained in Europe for political and sensitivity reasons. It is in very good condition with good wood and plenty of the original blued finish intact. Complete with two inert 7.92 rounds, the usually missing cleaning rod, the even more frequently missing front sight hood and a good quality reproduction leather sling. EU deactivation with a moving bolt and moving trigger (under spring pressure), but without the ability dry fire or field strip. Sorry - no international sales. Call our freephone credit card sales hotline to buy this item now with your credit or debit card - 0800 772 3499.
