The FN 1922 model was simply a development of the 1910 model (based or a request/order from Yugoslavia). It still employed a near tubular slide with the return spring wrapped around the barrel. However, the barrel and slide were made longer as was the grip (to increase magazine capacity). Chambered in either 7.65mm or 9mm short, with an nine/eight shot magazine, it again employed a striker-fired mechanism. It was widely adopted by police and military forces and saw considerable action during WWII. This example is a rare Dutch contract pistol manufactured circa 1939/40 (from serial number) and designated as the 'Pistool M25 No.2'. It is easily identifiable as a Dutch Military contract pistol because of the lanyard ring and crown & W crest on the top slide for Queen Wilhelmina. In very nice condition with the majority of metalwork finish intact and excellent grips. The lanyard ring is still present and is often missing on these Dutch examples. Complete with one magazine, original FN box and leaflet, and 2 inert 9mm short rounds. Deactivated to post-1995 UK specifications with fully moving parts, a working dry fire action and the ability to fully field strip.
