The M1917 also know as the 'American Enfield' was manufactured from 1917 and was the main rifle used by US forces in WWI. It was also used in subsequent wars including WWII, Korean and Vietnam as a second-line weapon. Additionally P17's were purchased for Home Guard use during WWII. This Eddystone example is 1918 (from the serial number) and is in excellent overall condition for its age. Much of original metalwork finish is intact with just expected service wear and the stocks are also good apart from a very minor chip near the heel. Complete with the 37 pattern sling and five iinert .303 rounds. Deactivated to the UK specification with fully moving parts, working dry fire action, removable magazine and the ability to field strip (apart from the barrel).
