This heavy machine gun (also known as the Russian M1910 Maxim Sokolov) was used by Russian armies from 1910 and was produced until around 1945. It was derived from Hiram Maxim's Maxim gun and was chambered for the standard 7.62 x 54 rimmed rifle cartridge used in the Nagant rifle. This is a nice WWII example, dated 1944 and mounted on the usual wheeled mount with fitted armour shield. It has the normal green painted finish and is in excellent overall condition. It comes complete with an ammo tin containing 100 x 7.62 x 54R inert rounds on a linked belt. Post-1995 deactivation with fully moving parts, a working dry fire action and the ability to field strip.
