BSA manufactured Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) in .303 calibre. Wartime MKIII model manufactured in 1918 and fitted with a magazine cut-off. The metalwork is in very good overall used condition. The woodwork looks to be completely original with the kind of service use you would expect from a piece of this age. Matching numbers to the receiver, nosecap and woodwork. The SMLE was used throughout WWI and in this case WWII by allied forces - an important piece of history. Complete with one magazine, issue sling and two inert .303 rounds. EU deactivation with a moving bolt, moving trigger (under spring pressure), working safety and removable magazine but without the ability dry fire or field strip. See our video showing an example of this type of deactivated firearm here.
