SOLD. The L59A1 is a drill rifle manufactured from various marks/manufacturers of Enfield No4 rifles. Produced in the 1970's and 80's and usualy re-using earlier, often wartime guns, these drill purpose rifles had minor adaptations to the receiver and bolt to ensure that although they could chamber drill pupose ammo, they would not stand up to live ammo being fired. Chambered in .303, the No4 rifle was the mainstay of allied forces during WWII. This example is an early WWII MKI and from the serial number looks to be a Longbranch manufactured piece which was also FTR'd by Fazakerly in 1956 bring it up to the MKI/II specification before later being converted to an L59. It is in very good used order, has its original copper wash bolt and comes complete with a period webbing sling and two inert .303 rounds. EU deactivation with a moving bolt, moving trigger, working safety and removable magazine but without the ability dry fire or field strip. See our video showing an example of this type of deactivated firearm here but note that in this example, although the trigger moves, it is not under spring pressure. Sorry - no international sales. Call our freephone credit card sales hotline to buy this item now with your credit or debit card - 0800 772 3499.
