SOLD. Less usual Lithgow manufactured Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) in .303 calibre. MKIII* model manufactured in 1928 between WWI and WWII so very likely would have seen action in WWII and beyond. The metalwork is in very good overall used condition. The woodwork looks to have ben replaced and is in very good order. Used throughout WWI and in this case WWII by allied forces - an important piece of history. Complete with one magazine and two inert .303 rounds. EU deactivation with a moving bolt, moving trigger (under spring pressure), working safety and removable magazine but without the ability dry fire or field strip.
