A really nice replica of the British Army L1A1 Self Loading Rifle (SLR). This is an ARES manufactured piece and is really detailed, solid and weighty. The upper and lower receivers are both metal (zinc alloy) with everythging else that should be metal being either steel or a high quality alloy casting. The black nylon stocks are reproduced perfectly and everything is in top, near new condition. Currently, this piece is not functioning from an airsoft perspective and is therefore being sold as a non-firing replica only rather than as a working airsoft rifle - please only purchase on this basis. However, it is still the best replica you will get of an L1A1 and is a fantastic alternative to a deact SLR at a fraction of the price. The magazine shell can be removed and pulling the charging handle back opens up the ejection port on the right hand side of the receiver. The rifle should open up to allow the two halves of the receiver to swing apart - it doesn't seem to be doing so at the moment - it may just be very stiff but we don't want to force it and potentially damage it.
