Enfield Bren MKIII

SOLD. An excellent used example of an original Enfield manufactured Bren chambered in .303. There isn't much to say about the Bren that most people don't already know; a mainstay weapon and a legend in its own right. The MKIII Bren was produced in relatively small numbers from 1944 and was a shorter and lighter weapon designed for airborne troops and the like. You see fewer MKIII variants compared to MKI and MKII Brens and even fewer that are as original as this one. This example was manufactured in 1957 with the serial number (UE57)A4582. All of the major components have matching numbers (upper, lower, barrel locking lever) and these are stamped rather than later electro-pencilled. The stock and carrying handle are the correct type as is the MKI type bipod with extending legs. In excellent condition with much original finish intact and only limited service wear. Complete two magazines (one EU adapted and one standard) and 5 inert .303 rounds. EU specification deactivation with moving cocking handle under spring pressure, moving fire selector and removable magazine, but without a dry-fire action or the ability to field strip.
