Less usual Lithgow manufactured Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) in .303 calibre. This is a MKIII* model which looks to be dated either 1918 or 1919 - probably the latter (see images). SMLE's were used throughout WWI and in this case WWII by allied forces - an important piece of history. This example is in very good overall condition. There is evidence of an old armourer's repair to the rear stock (glued and pegged) but this is completely firm. We can replace the rear stock if desired (+£50) but to be honest, the repair just reflects its service life and makes it more original. Complete with one magazine and two inert .303 rounds. Current deactivation with a moving bolt, moving trigger (under spring pressure), working safety and removable magazine but without the ability dry fire or field strip. See our video showing an example of this type of deactivated firearm here.
