The Mauser action employed on the K98 has also stood the test of time and is still used on sporting rifles to this day. This example has the 'dot' receiver code and was manufactured by Waffen Werke Bruun in 1943. It is dated 1940 on the receiver and has matching low serial numbers to the receiver and barrel. There are Nazi Eagles to the receiver, barrel and other minor components. It is fitted with a Zf41 telescopic sight on a quick release side rail mount. The scope and mount are reproduction, albeit of exceptional quality. Complete with the often missing cleaning rod and sight hood. Deactivated to the UK specification with fully moving parts, working dry fire action and the ability to field strip (apart from the barrel).
