A good example of a British 1.5" Flare or 'Very' pistol. These were issued during WWII to the RAF and differed from standard flare pistol of the era in that they had a shorter barrel with lugs that fitted into ports on the fusilage of aircraft. This example is good overal condition including its original bakelite grips (which are actually Webley MKVI revolver grips!). Interestingly, post war, some of these were converted to baton guns and even form the basis for Star Wars character Boba Fett's blaster! Deactivated to the 2010 UK specification (flare pistols are not covered by the EU regulations) with dry fire action, the ability to 'break' the action and the ability to field strip. The deactivation certificate is present but a little worn. Call our freephone credit card sales hotline to buy this item now with your credit or debit card - 0800 772 3499.
