UNAVAILABLE. NON-UK SALES ONLY OR RE-DEACTIVATION TO CURRENT DEACTIVATION SPECIFICATION - PLEASE CONTACT US FOR FURTHER DETAILS. Designed by George Herbert Lanchester and manufactured by the Sterling Engineering Company, the Lanchester submachine gun was produced exclusively for the Navy from 1941. However, it was also used by the RAF; particularly for guarding aerodromes. The Lanchester was a copy of the German MP28/II with modifications. The date on this example is not very clear, but we think it is 1943. In very good used condition, with just the kind of wear expected of an issued wartime weapon. The cocking handle has taken a knock at some point and is slightly bent in. It will bend back with a little TLC but we've priced this accordingly. Complete with one original 50 round magazine, 5 inert 9mm rounds and white navy sling. Pre 1995 deactivation with fully moving parts, working dry fire action and the ability to field strip.
