SOLD. The K98, based on the on the Gew 98 used during WWI, was the standard Nazi issue weapon of WWII. This is a WWII example has had its manufacturer code and date stamp removed post-war. It has subsequently been re-stamped with the 'dou' code (Waffenwerke Bruenn AG). It has some Nazi markings still present on the receiver. After the war, German markings were often removed on rifles that remained in Europe for political, legal and sensitivity reasons. It is in good overall condition with sound wood and a goo proportion of original metalwork finish intact. Complete with the usually missing cleaning rod and a nice quality reproduction leather sling. The front sight post is the type not designed to take a hood so this is not as such missing. EU deactivation with a moving bolt and moving trigger (under spring pressure), but without the ability dry fire or field strip. Sorry - no international sales. Call our freephone credit card sales hotline to buy this item now with your credit or debit card - 0800 772 3499. Proof of ID and age will be required prior to the despatch of this item.
