WWI/WWII P17 .30-06 Rifle

The M1917 also know as the 'American Enfield' was manufactured from 1917 and was the main rifle used by US forces in WWI. It was also used in subsequent wars including WWII, Korean and Vietnam as a second-line weapon. Additionally P17's were purchased for Home Guard use during WWII. This Remington example is dated 7/1918 and is in excellent overall condition for its age. The majority of original metalwork finish is intact with just limited service wear and the stocks are also good. It has matching serial numbers to the receiver and woodwork and comes complete with a period brass oil bottle in the butt trap. Deactivated to the UK specification with fully moving parts, working dry fire action, removable magazine and the ability to field strip (apart from the barrel).
