Manufactured from 1902 to around 1928, the Colt 1902 is one of the rarer Colt autos to find with only just over 18,000 examples being produced. This is the more desirable military variant which featured a squarer, lengthened grip frame giving an extra round capacity in the magazine. This 1906 example was one of 500 pistols sent to Chile for use by their Navy. It is marked 'MARINA DE CHILE', has British Proof Marks and is in the correct serial number range for this shipment (11XXX). Apparently, the shipment was expedited to Chile through Colt's London Office in april 1906. It is in original condition with honest wear to the finish, bearing in mind it is 114 years old and was used in a marine environment! The hard rubber Colt grips are excellent and it is complete with one magazine. Deactivated to pre 1995 UK standards with fully moving parts, working dry fire action and the ability to field strip; this example also has a clear barrel.
