Original No4 T's were built on BSA manufactured No4's and also Canadian (Longbranch) manufactured No4's. The basis of this example is a 1942 dated Longbranch No4 MKI* (correct MK for a Longbranch No4 T). It is a fully matching numbered (receiver, bolt, magazine and stocks) piece in lovely condition and fitted with the early cocking piece. The majority of original metalwork finish is intact and the original woodwork is in very nice used condition. The rear stock is fitted with the raised cheekpiece section which exhibits a little service wear. The rifle is fitted with the correct MKI rear sight with battle sight element removed and has the 'third' sling loop at the front of the trigger guard. It is fitted with a very high quality reproduction No32 scope and mount which only an expert would be able to distinguish from an original. The scope/mount is fitted to the rifle via the usual two 'pads' and secured via thumbscrews on the mount, allowing it to be easily attached and removed. The scope comes complete in a No8 metal case with adjustment tool. These may well be original rather than reproduction but we aren't sure. Complete with a reproduction 1907 sling (not pictured) and five inert .303 rounds. With prices for original No4 T's anywhere from £3500 to £5000, this is a very good value alternative. Deactivated to the UK specification with fully moving parts, working dry fire action, removable magazine and the ability to field strip (apart from the barrel).
