Used extensively from the 1950’s until the 1980’s, this robust and reliable SMG proved itself well in a number of conflicts including the Falklands war. Selective fire with a sturdy under-folding stock and a large magazine capacity (34), the Sterling was instantly recognisable because of its distinctive perforated barrel jacket. This example is in very good used condition with much of its original ‘crackle’ finish intact; it looks to have have been refinished at some point. Complete with 5 rounds of inert 9mm, one magazine and sling. Post 1995 UK deactivation with moving fire selector, removable magazine, moving cocking handle under spring pressure and the ability to partially field strip.
