Available by telephone order only - 024 7637 3581. Also known as the 97 or M97, the Winchester 1897 was produced from 1897 to 1957. This early pump shotgun employed an external hammer cocked via a bolt which in turn was moved via the pump arm. It was a very popular model and found favour with the US military as a 'Trench Gun' during WWI. It was particular effective in this role as it doesn't have a trigger disconnector meaning that if the trigger is kept depressed it can be fired just by pumping the forearm. This allowed troops to lay down a devasting rate of fire during trench warfare. In good overall condition considering its age. There is wear to the metal work and the pump arm looks to have been replaced at some point in its life, but not recently. Currently deactivated to post 1995 UK standards with fully moving parts, working dry-fire action and fully strippable. Sorry - no international sales. UNAVAILABLE.
