WWII K98 Sniper Rifle

Very much like the British No4 the Mauser K98 was the mainstay rifle for the German forces during WWII. The Mauser action employed on the K98 has also stood the test of time and is still used on sporting rifles to this day. This example was manufactured by Gustoff Werke and is marked BCD 4? on the receiver; the second digit of the date isn’t clear, but it is definitely wartime production. There are plenty on Nazi Eagles to the receiver, barrel and components of the action. The majority of components are also numbered but these are non-matching for the main part. It is fitted with a K Kahles H 4x60 telescopic sight on a quick release side rail mount. The scope looks to be completely original/period and is in very good overall condition with clear optics. The mount is numbered to the gun and is Eagle/214 marked; again it looks to be original. Complete with leather sling (a good reproduction), original bayonet and frog (1943 dated with matching numbers to blade and scabbard - frog 1940 dated and probably reproduction) and 5 inert 7.92mm rounds on a stripper clip. The cleaning rod and foresight hood so often missing on K98’s are also present. Deactivated with fully moving parts, dry firing action and is strippable (apart from the barrel).
