Rare WWII 1941 Mauser K98 Rifle

£595.00

SOLD. The K98, based on the on the Gew 98 used during WWI, was the standard Nazi issue weapon of WWII. This is a rare WWII example originally part of a contract destined for Portugal but then taken into service by the German Forces to boost their arsenal resources. Original Mauser production, dated 1941 and with plenty of Nazi markings. 99% matching numbers including the receiver, bolt, trigger guard, magazine base plate, rear sight assembly (both parts), stock band and stock. The only part that we can find which is non-matching is the safety lever on the bolt and it is very unusual to find such a complete matching numbers example. The stock is the solid hardwood type rather than the later laminated type; it is in good overall condition with age related wear and a few minor dings.  The metalwork shows some service/age related wear comensurate with military use. Complete with five inert 7.92 rounds, the usually missing cleaning rod (original), the even more likely to be missing sight hood (again original) and a nice original wartime sling. EU deactivation with a moving bolt and moving trigger (under spring pressure), but without the ability dry fire or field strip. Sorry - no international sales. Call our freephone credit card sales hotline to buy this item now with your credit or debit card - 0800 772 3499. A really good example.
