SOLD. The K98, based on the on the Gew 98 used during WWI, was the standard Nazi issue weapon of WWII. This is a WWII example has had its manufacturer code and date stamp removed post-war. Most of the usual Nazi markings have also been removed although small parts such as the sight assembly still have them intact. Markings were often removed on rifles that remained in Europe for political and sensitivity reasons. It is in generally good used condition with very good wood, a little wear to the blued finish and a very small patch of minor pitting on the bolt. Complete with two inert 7.92 rounds, the usually missing cleaning rod, the even more likely to be missing sight hood and a good quality reproduction leather sling.
