Argentine Military Hi Power

SOLD. A very nice example of an Argentine Military contract Hi Power as used during the Falklands campaign. These Hi Powers were manufactured by the state-owned DGFM Arms Factory and issued to Argentine Forces. Often referred to as the FM Browning, production started in the late 1960's solely for military use with later models being produced for commercial sale. This is an earlier military example, probably dating to the very late 1960's or early 1970's. It has the standard phosphate finish with baked enamel on top. Originally, this example would have been fitted with black plastic military grips, but these have been replaced at some point in its life with standard hardwood grips. However, included with this piece are a set of black military grips that can be swapped back on if desired. Also complete with two magazines (one EU adapted and the other standard - note that the standard mag is for display only and will not insert fully into the magazine well) and 5 inert rounds. Deactivated to the new EU specification with fully moving parts, working manual slide stop, working dry fire action and the ability to to remove the magazine. Existing collectors should note that the EU specification for the deactivation of semiautomatic pistols is very similar to the previous UK spec. It does require a slight adaption to the magazine/well that is actually better in some respects as it allows the slide to be cycled with inert rounds present the magazine.
